The poster for this last day of the 2024 Six Nations Tournament, Saturday, confirmed the title of the English after their victory against the Blue.
To capture their sixth consecutive Grand Slam, Saturday April 27, the English struck from the start: two quick tries, a first from Maud Muir in the fifth minute, followed by that of Alex Matthews a few minutes later (12th ). A good start for the Red Roses, who increased their number of achievements to six. In Bordeaux, in front of 28,023 spectators, a record for a women’s rugby match in France, the French women found themselves stronger than them.
And this, despite the three tries scored, including a double from Romane Ménager (28th, 70th). Outnumbered after the expulsion of Assia Khalfaoui (43rd), the Blue lost with a score of 42 to 21, their 13th consecutive defeat against their best enemies. More than enough to offer England a new coronation and above all a sixth Grand Slam in a row.
