America’s elite fighter pilots are back with Tom Cruise in the film Top Gun Maverick, which has already had 1.5 million admissions in France. Some spectators want to prolong the experience in aerobatic clubs.

Since the release of the film Top Gun Maverick, a small company in La-Roche-Sur-Yon (Vendée) is almost sold out until the end of the year. The instructor does up to six flights a day, and makes safety his priority. “My goal is to return with my plane, and my passenger”, assures Benoît Buffiere. Davy Touzalin, 43 and Top Gun fan, boards an L-39 Albatros, used by the Czech army.

Flights cost from 380 to 2,600 euros, depending on the type of aircraft. However, places are very rare. “We are at more than 70% in terms of turnover, compared to last year which was a very good year. So thank you Top Gun”, rejoices François Dubreuil, the president of Top Gun Voltige. Davy, still in the air, seems to be doing well. On arrival, he is conquered. “We want more”, he enthuses. Faced with success, Top Gun Voltige is looking for a new plane, in order to offer more flights.
