The comic strip “Mortelle Adèle” has passed the milestone of 10 million copies sold in ten years. It recounts the adventures of Adèle, a mischievous and rebellious little girl, who are all the rage among children.

A few steps from the beach of La Grande-Motte (Hérault), a bus in the colors of a heroin like no other has taken up its summer quarters. “She’s mortal, and then I love ‘mortality'”, says Candice, 10 years old. Mortelle Adèle is a cheeky comic book heroine that children crave. Declined in song, in novel and in game, the comic strip Deadly Adele is unanimous among 7-12 year olds.

His secret? Short and funny sketches, which tell the life of a rebellious little girl, who dares everything. A form of therapy for its author, victim of school violence. “I created it to find a way to face these situations. And then years later, it is also the role it plays in the lives of children, to invite them to celebrate courage, ‘affirmation of what they are’explains Antoine Dole, the author of Deadly Adele. With 18 volumes in ten years, the comic strip has sold more than 10 million copies.
