The success of the 100% health system which allows you to be reimbursed for your care is working very well. Many French people gave up going to the dentist or getting a hearing aid, now this is no longer the case.
Gabriel Giret, 81, makes an auditory check-up. He has been wearing hearing aids since 2008. Until now he paid for part of his equipment. But with the reform of 100% health, he benefits, like all French people, from fully supported equipment. The models called “class 1” no longer cost him anything.
Between 2019 and 2021, the period of implementation of the device, the number of patients to be equipped increased by 77%. A craze that Philippe Metzger, an audioprosthetist, notes in his office and that he attributes directly to the reform. “We ended up very quickly with 40% of patients asking for “class 1″. Today, we no longer have the problem of price”, he observes. Since the rollout of the reform, nearly 780,000 100% reimbursed hearing aids have been fitted.
