For two years, with inflation, food has been omnipresent in trade. Olivia just got started. She already makes two transactions per day. For example, she sold kitchen molds. “I had a brioche, two packets of Savane and a kilo of sugar“, she says, showing the products. Unemployed, this mother of two daughters takes full-time care of one of them with a disability. With almost 800 euros per month, it’s difficult to make ends meet.

Bartering for food or clothing
