The return home is difficult for many Montrealers at the dawn of the Easter break. Service is currently interrupted on the orange metro line, Communauto service is disrupted and a statue of Jesus has blocked traffic on rue Saint-Denis.
Service is interrupted between Bonaventure and Henri-Bourassa stations. The resumption is scheduled around 5:30 p.m.
The interruption is due to an intervention by emergency medical services, indicates the Société de transport de Montréal.
A special bus service runs between Henri-Bourassa and Berri-UQAM stations.
At the same time, a technical problem caused disruptions in the use of the Communauto service. “We are working to resolve the situation,” the company says on its application.
A statue of Jesus crucified temporarily blocked traffic Thursday on rue Saint-Denis. The cross, which was on the back of a truck, was not able to pass under the Carrières viaduct. The top of the statue had to be sawed off before traffic could be restored.
