the subsidy of the reconciliation between the club and the town hall?

All is well in the best of all possible worlds for the Volley Ball Tours. Field side: a quiet qualification this Wednesday evening for the round of 16 of the small European Cup, with a success 3 sets to 0 at home against the Dutch Apeldoorn, in the return match. On the heart side, reconciliation seems to be underway with the city of Tours, with a budget extension for local authorities of 150,000 euros, announced on the occasion of this European match by the mayor of Tours, who seems to have buried the hatchet after the summer quarrel against a backdrop of partnership between TVB and McDonald’s, a partnership that had displeased the town hall and which had also ended up being suspended.

50,000 euros from the city, 100,000 euros from the metropolis of Tours, this is the amount of additional subsidies to TVB, announced yesterday by the mayor of Tours Emmanuel Denis. Almost a surprise whereas last June, the town hall made known its dissatisfaction to see the Tours Volley Ball practice the naming, that is to say to attach a trademark to the name of the club. This brand was MacDonalds, and it was not to the taste of the environmental mayor of Tours. A month later, at the end of July, a rebound, the Mac Do / TVB partnership was suspended.

I have to say that the town hall of Tours had arguments to make to express his dissatisfaction: the Grenon room where the TVB plays, the more than 400,000 euros paid in 2021 to the club. The TVB therefore agrees to postpone the partnership for six months, while the elected officials propose an alternative and financially attractive solution. These 150,000 euros look like a reconciliation … but it is not known, for the moment, if the partnership with McDonald’s is definitely buried.
