Faced with this critical situation, President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte will go there this Tuesday, November 14, 2023 to express their support for the residents affected by these exceptional weather conditions.
The announcement of this presidential visit was made this Monday, November 13 by the Élysée. The presidency confirmed that the head of state “will express its support and that of the entire Nation to the inhabitants affected by the successive episodes of flooding as well as to all the rescue forces mobilized”. This visit aims to show national solidarity and salute the dedication of the relief teams who are working tirelessly to mitigate the consequences of these bad weather.

An interministerial crisis unit convened
At the same time, Matignon also revealed the convening of an interministerial crisis unit concerning these floods, with the aim of “coordinate all state services”, report our colleagues from 20 minutes.
