The Stone of Destiny and the “Stone” of Destiny

I do not know if you have seen the throne on which King Charles III will sit during the religious enthronement ceremony which will take place in Westminster Abbey. The original resembled the decor of an old sugar shack. Beneath this heavy chair is the Stone of Destiny, a rock associated with Celtic mythology and owned by Scottish royalty.

After his triumph over King John Balliol of Scotland in 1296, Edward Ier transported this mythical 150 kg block of sandstone to England as spoils of war. Since when do the victors need the approval of their vassals to appropriate their sacred objects? Let us also remember the Koh-i-Nor, this 105-carat diamond whose value is estimated at 140 million euros which decorates one of the British royal crowns. This jewel is now the subject of a dispute between Great Britain and Indian personalities who are demanding its return to their country, which is its true owner. If our Percé rock was haloed with such mysticism, the British crown would not have hesitated to move it to London to make it a princely bottom.

The Stone of Destiny was used for the coronation of Elizabeth II in 1953 before being returned to Scotland in 1996. This time, the rock, also called the Scone Stone, will be borrowed from Scotland for the time to connect Charles III in the spirit of these ancestors. However, although we associate this stone with fate, it is much more to the genetic lottery that Charles owes his accession to the throne. The cosmic chance that made him appear in this royal family made the difference. All men are born equal. After that, the race begins, added the sage.

In this marathon of life, there are people whose genetic combination allows them to start a stride from the finish line. No need to force to wear the gold medal around your neck and the silver spoon in your mouth.

What would be Charles’ real chances of occupying this position in a true meritocracy? What would also be the chance of Justin Trudeau becoming Prime Minister of Canada if he were not the son of the other? Justin’s Destiny Stone is called Pierre and bears the same name as him. Carrying this chromosomal inheritance has been a great accelerator of his social ascent.

Let’s be clear, I’m not saying here that Justin has no other qualities than his father’s name. I just think that in a true meritocracy, tons of Canadians could beat it to the finish line with their experience, expertise, knowledge and skills. Fortunately for him, his existence benefited from the sperm of a man who marked Canada. Love him or hate him, we have to admit that Pierre Elliott Trudeau was an important and enlightened political figure. No wonder then that even after he left, his son shone with a light that was not his.

To follow in their dad’s footsteps, Justin and his brother Alexander pushed mimicry to the point of falling in love with the Beijing regime, which is very different from the one that considered their father a friend. A shifted vision that now risks being fatal to the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation.

Also, while Justin of the fabulous destiny was preparing to go to the coronation of the equally blessed of the gods Charles III, his brother Alexandre took the stand to explain to us that their blue blood genetics of Canadian politics have absolutely nothing to do with to do with Chinese generosity towards the foundation. Camped in great certainty, he persists and signs that this largesse carries no ounce of desire to interfere in Canadian politics.

If so, why was it so difficult to find the person to whom the check should be returned to calm the criticism? The donor was so hard to find that I thought I would introduce myself as the person I was looking for. A way to cash the check on my own foundation account. I am talking here about the Boucar Tropical Retreat Foundation. Unfortunately, my last name wasn’t Chinese enough for my plan to work.

If Alexandre Trudeau’s statement is true, why did these patrons never think of making a donation to food banks, to Doctor Julien’s social pediatrics or to the Fondation du Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie? Is there a single thoughtful person who can believe that the kind words of the father and the two Trudeau brothers about the Beijing regime did not motivate this attempt to reconcile them with their genetics as potential prime minister? ? One thing is certain, Justin will have to answer this part of his destiny when he returns from the big royal ceremony this weekend.
