the State recruits Urssaf inspectors

Let’s go for the 2021-2022 recruitment campaign for these state agents so dreaded by companies: Urssaf inspectors, able to land in companies to check the accounts and the workforce. And even, sometimes, to have them condemned, as has just happened with the Deliveroo platform, which must pay nearly ten million euros for not having paid its social security contributions and contributions.

Registrations have just started and will be open throughout the month of September. A hundred of these sleuths, who will practice throughout France, are wanted. Among their missions: to fight against undeclared work. According to the Urssaf, the shortfall for the State would expect six billion euros per year. Pierre Ramon-Baldié, the director of human resources for the Urssaf network, confides that there are fewer candidates than usual this year.

There are two aspects to the profession of Urssaf inspector: one, linked to compliance monitoring, and another, more muscular, on concealed work fraud. In the first, the companies are notified of the day of the intervention but, in the second, the inspectors arrive unexpectedly to check the reality of the work. This last aspect is increasing, in particular thanks to new, more efficient tools. The inspectors work both independently but also in liaison with the police, taxes, customs or labor inspection.

The first news is that there is no age limit to apply. It is either to have a bac+3 to bac+4 level in the fields of accounting, administration and business management, law or human resources, or a bac+5 in all sectors combined. We follow a paid training of 19 months, plus 16 months for the specialty “fight against illegal work”. To apply, go to the lasecurecrute site, in the “Financial security professions” section.
