Major malfunctions have taken place in some nursing homes of the private group Orpea. The administrative investigation confirms this and the State announced on Saturday March 26 that it was going to file a complaint.

After several weeks of an investigation ordered by the authorities, the inspection report on the Orpea group delivered, on Saturday March 26, initial conclusions. A press release from the General Inspectorate of Finance and Social Affairs points to the nutritional deficiency of residents. Overcrowded nursing homes, irregularity in the use of public funds and back margins from public money. The State undertakes to request the restitution of the endowments, in the event of embezzlement.

A complaint for embezzlement of public funds has been filed. For those who testified in the book that revealed the Orpea scandal, this complaint is not enough, because it only concerns the financial aspect of the case and not the cases of abuse. The Ministry of Health affirms that the controls continue in many Ehpad, everywhere on the territory. The sums that could be claimed from Orpea would represent several million euros.
