Coaster and schedule change for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The opening match, initially scheduled for Monday November 21 at 11 a.m., will finally take place the day before, November 20, the tournament organizer told AFP on Wednesday August 10.
During the draw, as has been the tradition since 2006, it was the meeting of the host country, Qatar-Ecuador, which was the opening poster. But at the time of the publication of the calendar, Fifa had finally positioned Qatar-Ecuador in the third meeting of the day of November 21, after Netherlands – Senegal, new opening match of the World Cup, and England-Iran.

The match between Senegal and the Netherlands (Group A), the meetings between England and Iran, and the United States against Wales (Group B), will take place the next day.
