(Dallas) Evgenii Dadonov scored at 1:59 in overtime and the Vegas Golden Knights prevailed 3-2 over the Dallas Stars on Wednesday.
Shea Theodore and Jonathan Marchessault scored the other goals of the winners.
The Golden Knights deserved a second straight win, after four straight losses. They will replay Friday night at home, against Anaheim.
Marchessault tied the score with 1:02 remaining in the third period, scoring his second goal this season.
Laurent Brossoit made 32 saves for Vegas, which had entrusted the first six starts to Robin Lehner.
The Knights had the upper hand even being limited to 20 shots. The club have let a power play slip away and are 0 for 15 in that regard this season.
The retaliation came from Luke Glendening and Alexander Radulov, while Anton Khudobin blocked 18 shots.
