“The star peddlers” are made up of 75 people with disabilities. Their supervisors, both actor and director, set themselves a challenge with, in the end, a long-term job.

It’s an extraordinary meeting between an actor and different candidates. He taught them to speak theatre, to look the audience straight in the eye. However, the bet was not won. Initially, Stéphane was to produce portraits for the 100th anniversary of the association created by parents who wanted to develop their deficient children. Then Stéphane got caught up in the game and saw bigger: create a show written with their words.

A shocked audience

I have just seen the birth of a troupe, (…) there is something that binds them together. It’s a breath of life for them“, comments Céline Barbotte, deputy director of the ITINOVA association (Vaucluse). For the big night, nine months later, the educators were indeed present. The apprentice actors gave their all. Happiness message peddlers shocked the public and reached for the stars.
