In Saône-et-Loire, Maël, a 10-year-old CM2 student, suffered physical and moral violence for several years from one of his classmates. Several years of almost daily harassment that had led his parents to drop him out of school. After a long battle, the family of the child in question agreed to change the school pupil, allowing Maël to return to his class on Monday March 6.
Good news never comes alone.
Olivier Giroud was touched by this story. “A child who is bullied should not change schools”he said on RTL. “When you hear a child talk like that, it hurts your heart.” The footballer sent a message to the little boy in Focus Sunday : “You are very brave, I have a lot of admiration [pour toi]”. In addition to this weight support, the AC Milan striker added: “I would like to meet you and invite you to a match.”
In addition to finding his classmates, Maël, a football fan, will be able to attend a match of Milan Ac, the Italian club where the 2018 world champion (or the France team) plays. “We did not expect that as a surprise, we are very happy, because he loves football”reacted the father of Maël, on RTLhappy with this surprise invitation. “He started to cry, it touches him a lot”, he said.
Olivier Giroud available to Didier Deschamps
In a few days, Didier Deschamps will communicate his first post-World Cup list. The French team must play at the end of March, matches counting for the qualifiers for Euro 2024 which will be played in Germany. The Blues will cross paths with the Netherlands and Ireland. The coach will not be able to count on Hugo Lloris and Raphael Varane, both retired, but could rely on an Olivier Giroud not ready to bow out. “No it’s not over, I’m not ready to take off this blue jersey which is close to my heart for the moment, I still have the motivation and the physique to continue. I’m still selectable”as he told Laurent Delahousse.
