Panic in the streets of Jerusalem (Israel), Saturday October 7. Sirens sound in the Israeli capital. It was 6:35 a.m. when thousands of rockets fell on the Hebrew state; Hamas had just launched a large-scale attack. A few minutes later, several members of the terrorist organization managed to reach the town of Sderot, not far from the border with the Gaza Strip. A macabre communications operation began at 7:12 a.m.: Hamas published on its social networks the first images of Israeli civilians killed. All day long, these dozens of victims are exhibited by the Islamists.
Several cities taken by storm
At 7:40 a.m., Israeli authorities confirmed that Hamas had crossed the border. The fighters post videos of their incursion, the aim is to create a climate of terror among the Israelis. Hamas attacks with drones, the fighters land by paraglider but also by boats. These incursions will affect several cities and several Kibbutz in the Jewish state. Shortly before 9 a.m., a video of a young Israeli taken hostage was broadcast. Shortly after noon, Israeli soldiers were taken out of their tanks and dragged to the ground. Later, Hamas men parade through Gaza driving vehicles stolen from the Israelis.
