Definitely, the matches at the Stade de Reims offer scenarios that are very difficult to imagine. In Angers this Sunday, during the 28th day of Ligue 1, the Rémois again went through all the emotions. Very quickly however, faced with the locals blocked by the fear of chaining a 7th loss in a row, the Red and Whites took the upper hand. Active in the corridors, they put the Angevins on the back foot. And it takes a superb save from Petkovic to prevent Marshall Munetsi to open the scoring with a header (11th). The Angevin response is timid, carried by Sofiane Boufal alone. Largely dominating, the Rémois are finally rewarded when Ghislain Konan find Arber Zeneli in the opposing area. His pass control finds Alexis Flips whose recovery sends the ball between the legs of a guilty goalkeeper. Ahead on the scoreboard, the Rémois did not release the pressure, and they were very close to adding a second goal. Corn Wout Faesgone alone against, missed his last gesture.
But as nothing is ever linear at the Stade de Reims, the debatable exclusion ofAnastasios Donis after half an hour of play was going to reshuffle the cards. Behind the ubiquitous Boufal and Fulgini, Angers proved to be more dangerous and pushed back stadium players for whom the second half will be long. Only Mitchell Van Bergen, entered and then emerged, offered a real possibility of doubling the bet against. But the opposing goalkeeper intervened perfectly. The rest of the time, Reims suffered around a Predrag Rajkovic solid in front of Bahoken and Manceau and whose success was total, while his crossbar repelled four Angevin attempts. The chances were numerous for the SCO and it was even sometimes a miracle not to see the ball reach the net. Sign of the terrible dynamics of the Angevins. Reims, he saw luck smiling at him. So much so that the end of the match stretched the locals who were also seeing red. With this 8th success this season, Stade de Reims, now with 35pts, has certainly just signed a new lease for Ligue 1 next season.
