The SQ sounds the alert for an alleged child abduction

Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) are asking for the public’s help in locating Jacqueline Beaudoin-McClintock and her 18-month-old son, James Audet. Authorities fear for the child’s safety as his mother fled her Stoneham home over the weekend without a trace.

“The circumstances surrounding their departure from the region lead the authorities to believe that the child’s situation is or may be considered to be in jeopardy,” said a statement that the SQ.

Jacqueline Beaudoin-McClintock is the ex-spouse of Nicolas Audet, a man murdered in mid-February in circumstances that remain unclear. The SQ denies any link between the two events, even if Ms. Beaudoin-McClintock remains a key witness in this murder.

Jacqueline Beaudoin-McClintock would have fled from the Quebec region “possibly in the direction of Western Canada” aboard a white Chrysler vehicle dating from 2005 and registered Y61 XQX or Z09 WGC, specifies the police force. The wanted lady is 1m54 tall, has blue eyes, wears brown hair, but “she could be wearing a wig and have dyed her hair since leaving”.

“The authorities also learned that she would have tried to entrust her son James to an acquaintance before leaving”, notes the SQ.

This call for vigilance has been launched across Canada.
