A lawsuit will have allowed the Sûreté du Québec to kill two birds with one stone, Friday evening, in Beauce. While fleeing the police, a driver crashed into a van that was immobilized at a red light. And its driver, who was impaired, was also arrested.
The fugitive, a man in his fifties, was initially pinned down by Sûreté du Québec patrol officers while he was traveling on Route 173 in Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce. As officers were performing a warrant check, the driver sped off, fleeing.
