The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is asking for the public’s help to find a man who escaped from the Federal Training Center, a minimum security detention facility, in Laval.
Yacine Zouaoui, aged 32, reportedly escaped from the detention center located on Montée Saint-François on Thursday evening. The man was incarcerated for homicide.
The man is 5 feet and 11 inches (1.80 meters) tall, weighs 190 pounds (86 kilograms), has black hair, brown eyes, and speaks English.
“The man was last seen wearing a light colored top, jeans and black sneakers. He would travel on foot, but could try to request transport,” the SQ indicated in a press release.
Some information suggests that the individual may be in Ontario.
The police are asking anyone who sees him to call 911 and not approach the man. Any information allowing Yacine Zouaoui to be found can be communicated confidentially to the SQ Criminal Information Center at 1-800-659-4264.
