The SQ is investigating the suspicious death of a woman in Candiac

The Personal Crimes Investigation Department of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is investigating the suspicious death of a woman in her late twenties that occurred around noon Tuesday, in Candiac, in Montérégie.

It was first the police officers from the Roussillon Intermunicipal Police Agency who were called to go to the scene of the death, in a home on rue Toulouse.

“According to preliminary information obtained from our colleagues, it was relatives who were worried about the victim who contacted the police service,” explains Sergeant Audrey-Anne Bilodeau, spokesperson for the SQ.

The police then discovered the victim. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the start of Tuesday evening, an SQ mobile command post was still located on Toulouse Street. Members of the police force’s Forensic Identification Service were also on the scene to analyze the scene and shed light on the circumstances of this event.
