The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) says two people died in a house fire on Sunday in Bowman, in Outaouais.
Authorities found the two bodies in the rubble of a house in this small municipality located about 55 kilometers north of Gatineau.
The fire broke out around 8 a.m. on Sunday; three people were able to escape from the house.
It took firefighters several hours to bring the fire under control.
Sergeant Marythé Bolduc, of the SQ, says that autopsies will be carried out to identify the two victims.
The investigation also aims to determine the cause of the fire.
