The SPVM dismantles two drug sales points in the Village

(Montreal) The Montreal Police Service (SPVM) dismantled two drug sales points on Sainte-Catherine Street East last Wednesday. In total, three people were arrested.

The SPVM arrested two suspected drug dealers in a hotel room where they allegedly carried out their activities. They are a man in his thirties and a woman in her twenties who are traffickers “very active in the sector”.

The search of the hotel room and the residence of one of the suspects allowed the police to get their hands on 26 grams of cocaine and 260 grams of methamphetamine.

The man in question appeared shortly after his arrest at the Montreal courthouse for drug trafficking. He was later released under certain conditions. The woman was released at the scene of the operation and will soon have to appear in court.

The SPVM also carried out a search Thursday evening in a bar located east of the Village where an individual was trafficking cocaine. A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene with around ten grams of cocaine in his possession distributed inside bags.

The individual was released from custody pending his appearance on charges related to drug trafficking.
