The special California Ford Mustang GT returns to kill the gray

Here’s something to combat the grayness of November: a week before the official unveiling planned at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Ford today announces the return of the special California package for its new 2024 Mustang.

A new Ecstasy Blue color accentuates several details of the car, such as the outline of the openings flanking the new grille, the “GT/CS” inscription on it, the spokes of the 19-inch rims (two models available) as well as as the “GT” and “5.0” badging on the rear trunk and front fenders, respectively.

The headlights are bordered by a black bezel, while the lower sides feature decorative strips.

The interior is adorned with Ebony Black perforated leather seats with the entire central part in a contrasting color called Navy Blue. Two-tone stitching with Raptor Blue and Metallic Gray threads enhances everything, extending to the dashboard and doors. They can also be added as an option for the center console and the steering wheel, the latter also being a mixture of black and blue.

Finally, let’s not forget the “California Special” plaque and the “GT/CS” embroidered mats.

The special California package is added exclusively to the 480-horsepower Mustang GT Premium version ($54,400), whether in coupe or convertible format, with the six-speed manual gearbox or the ten-speed automatic. Its Canadian price is set at $2,595. Order banks open today.
