The South-West table with Le Festin

Le Festin is a Bordeaux publishing house, and if you are one of those who love the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, you are a fan of this magazine. As the pages go by, local know-how takes its place. Le Festin deals with regional and heritage assets. Its founder and director is called Xavier Rozan. For the number: At the South-West table. It was released in 2021, a gastronomy special which is a collector’s issue, due to its original approach to cooking, and the quality of its signatures, two constants for the Festin.

A shock cover: La Ferme aux Grives by Michel Guérard. Beyond the image, the symbolism is very strong. Michel Guérard embodies the gastronomic heritage of the South-West, he who was for a long time the only three-star chef in Aquitaine and who remains one of the inventors of 20th century cuisine. In this issue dedicated to gastronomy, Philippe Meyzie and Corinne Marache, professors at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne, intervene in particular: a time travel to discover the products and culinary know-how of Aquitaine. Sophie Juby has been writing about food and wine since 2014.
