Friday, November 17, an earthquake occurred in the Philippines, in the province of Sarangani. The 6.7 magnitude earthquake caused two deaths and significant damage.
Videos show the horror of entire sections of a shopping center ceiling falling on terrified customers. A powerful 6.7 magnitude earthquake has just shaken the southern Philippines. Violent tremors, which last for many minutes, less than 100 km from the epicenter. Outside, the facade is cracking.
At least two dead
The city of General Santos was particularly affected. Two people died, crushed by a wall. The damage is considerable. Many infrastructures were affected, such as the ceiling of another shopping center, which was completely destroyed. Students at one school were supported by the local Red Cross. For the moment, no overall assessment has been communicated in the region, where earthquakes are very frequent.
