The song is (also) wary of real estate agents

After the opinion of the Autorité de la concurrence pinning particular on agency fees, let’s come back to the image of real estate professionals in our popular culture.

You remember four walls and a roof, the song of Bénabar, with his real estate agent who recounts the memories of a family home which has known all the happiness of childhood, and which must be sold, with all the memories and the ghosts of the family which had built. We told you about it this week on France Info: real estate professionals are worried about an opinion from the Competition Authority which points the finger at the amount of agency fees.

And real estate agents prefer that the song treats them like this, as with Bénabar, as friendly and benevolent intermediaries. There is even better, moreover, with a title of the singer Thérèse, in 2012.

In the second episode of These songs that make the news, airing this weekend, you hear excerpts from:

Benabar, Four walls and a roof, 2006

Therese, The real estate agent, 2012

Pierre and Marc Jolivet, Real Estate, 1975

hangovers, real estate transactions, 2000

tryo, Look at them, 1998

Serge Gainsbourg, The Tenants, 1979

Georges Brassens, I have an appointment with you, 1954

Louise Attack, Do you have the time, 1997
