The family of chef Yannick Alléno, at the head of the Pavillon Ledoyen, announces on Monday May 9 the death of Antoine Alléno, restaurateur, victim of a road accident which occurred on the night of May 8 in Paris. “It is with deep sadness that chef Yannick Alléno, his mother Isabelle, his brother Thomas, his family, as well as the teams of the Yannick Alléno Group inform you of the death of their son, brother, colleague and friend, Antoine”indicates the family in a press release sent to franceinfo.

Antoine Alléno, 24, was at the head of the restaurant Burger Père et Fils, launched last year with his father Yannick. “Promising and talented, Antoine belonged to this new generation of cooks, determined to revolutionize the French gastronomic landscape”, underlines the press release. The Alléno family and their loved ones say “sensitive to the benevolence and understanding of all, while respecting their privacy.”

The Pavillon Ledoyen, located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, and the Burger Père et Fils restaurant, located in the 7th, will remain closed until further notice, specifies the group’s communication department, which insists on the period of “recollection in the strictest family intimacy.”
