The 19 members of the PS group in the Ile-de-France region no longer want to work with the La France insoumise group after the positions taken by some of its members on Israel.

“We considered that the question of values was superior to everything else, that we could not accept that”, assures franceinfo a socialist regional advisor to the Ile-de-France region. The PS Ile-de-France group is preparing to suspend “temporarily” its relations with LFI after the declarations of some of its leaders concerning the Hamas attack on Israel. A press release must be sent Monday October 9 at the end of the day, franceinfo learned from Jonathan Kienzlen, the president of the PS group in the region, confirming information from Challenges.

“We were shocked by the national expression of LFI and certain parliamentarians LFIjustifies Jonathan Kienzlen. A domino effect on Nupes?

There is no Nupes intergroup in the Ile-de-France regional council, but left-wing groups regularly work together on several subjects. The socialists in the National Assembly meet Monday afternoon to address the subject while PS deputy Jérôme Guedj estimated Sunday that “the question” to stay in the left alliance “arises”.
