Kick-off. The Socialist Party and La France insoumise published Monday evening the list of the first candidates invested within the framework of the agreement establishing the New popular ecological and social union (Nupes) for the legislative elections. Le PS unveiled a first wave of 56 candidates including its first secretary Olivier Faure. In total, as part of the new left alliance bringing together LFI, EELV, PS and PCF for the June legislative elections, the PS will have 70 candidates invested. For these contenders who aspire to join the benches of the National Assembly, the campaign begins this Tuesday, May 11. Follow political news live with franceinfo.

• LFI finds a replacement for Bouhafs. Among the candidates invested by LFI, we find Idir Boumertit. This PCF deputy mayor of Vénissieux (Rhône) replaces journalist Taha Bouhafs, who threw in the towel on Tuesday. Also note the presence of comedian Gérald Dahan in Charente, environmental activist Claire Lejeune in Essonne or close to Jean-Luc Mélenchon Danielle Simonnet in Paris, in a constituency on which the PS had ambitions.

• The PS invests (almost) all its leavers. The Socialists are not resentful: among the list of nominations under the colors of the Nupes, we find the outgoing Dominique Potier (who had nevertheless said that he did not want this support), Hervé Saulignac (rather surprised to be invested without we don’t ask his opinion), or even Valérie Rabault, who had voted against the agreement. It should be noted, however, that the constituency of MP Jérôme Lambert, criticized even in his own ranks, has not yet been allocated. There are also about fifteen outgoing deputies, including Boris Vallaud (3rd constituency of Landes), Guillaume Garot (1st of Mayenne) or Dominique Potier (5th of Meurthe-et-Moselle), who nevertheless declared that he did not want not be invested in the name of Nupes.

• Macron targets Nupes in Aubervilliers. Coming to visit the candidates of the presidential majority gathered in a seminar in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis), Emmanuel Macron frontally attacked the New popular ecological and social union on Tuesday: “The only ecological project on the far left is degrowth”he notably tackled.
