In the middle of a concert, Thursday evening July 6, the singer launched into a violent diatribe against the President of the Republic. An investigation has been opened by the Nice prosecutor’s office.
Thursday evening, July 6, the singer Izïa opened the Nuits Guitare festival in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. Between two pieces of her concert, she launched into a long violent monologue against Emmanuel Macron which did not make everyone among the spectators laugh. A survey forpublic provocation to commit a felony or misdemeanor“was opened against him, said the Nice prosecutor’s office on Saturday. This investigation does not follow up on a complaint, said the prosecutor’s office.
In the video posted by the InOut Côte d’Azur site, which recalls that this long digression had “started with an imaginary and sexy dialogue between Brigitte and Manu“, we see and hear (at about 2:00) Izïa improvising live. “What a naughty one, he thought to himself what would be good, vsWhat the people want, what the people want is for me to be hung 20 meters above the ground, like a giant human piñata, and for us all to be here with huge bats with nails at the end as in Clockwork Orange (Mechanical Orange Editor’s note). And there they would bring him down, with all the grace and kindness that the southern people have. (…) And in a bengal fire, of joy, of living flesh and blood, we would put him on the ground… but gently.” At the end of her diatribe, she would have added: “I can already see the headline of Nice-Matin tomorrow: Izïa calls for the murder of Macron”.
The gendarmes who came to arrest him left empty-handed
Warned by spectators, the gendarmes came to pick up the singer at the end of the concert to ask her to account but could not get their hands on the daughter of Jacques Higelin, sheltered in her tour bus. Beaulieu Mayor Roger Roux, who was not present at the concert and arrived at the venue around midnight, told nice morning that the gendarmes intended to arrest the artist but had been unable to do so: “EShe would have been exfiltrated in her bus. The regulations mean that you can’t go in like that. There were long palavers between the manager and the gendarmerie.“
“I can’t believe it… It looks like a meeting of France Insoumise“, continued the mayor at the microphone of the daily. “Today, we want everything except to hear someone threaten, insult, smear anyone. Right now, we need to go to festivals to relax, with artists we like. .”
Izïa now “blacklisted” from Beaulieu
Also in Nice Matin, the Cultural Assistant of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Marie-José Lasry, who attended the concert, assures that “Friends left outraged. And I was very annoyed. I wondered if I should have her fired. Especially since people continued to applaud and dance as if nothing had happened. ..” As of Friday morning, she says she has been to testify at the gendarmerie against this incident which is now worth Izïa to be according to her “blacklisted” of the city of the Alpes-Maritimes.
Interviewed Thursday by Var Morning before her concert, Izïa had indicated that she sometimes felt “overheated“and said aspire to take”six months for me, without doing anything”…
