If on OMG (2021), Laurence Nerbonne still hesitated between the danceable pop of her beginnings and the hip-hop of her second album, on The sky is beautiful look at the clouds, she has finally made her nest: pop, she will be. Accepted, finally. Which doesn’t stop him from experimenting with rap rhyme, particularly on the extract Wild cat, a duet with Koriass, produced with the composer Ruffsound, a rare collaboration of its kind for the woman who composes and produces her recordings. Radio success Rainbowhis “love song about a beat vacation”, sets the tone. There is a lot of talk about love on this album with its colorful electronic tones where she dabbles in this guitar rap that radio stations seem to love: Hometown, In my mind (co-written with Mike Clay), Therapy, one of the most successful of this album, light at first listen and appearing just before spring sets in. As a bonus, the singer-songwriter brings back to the studio none other than Mitsou (Cowgirl), which we hadn’t heard sung for ages.
