The deputies elected the six vice-presidents of the National Assembly on Friday, July 19. The first round had to be cancelled because there were ten envelopes too many in the ballot boxes.

Six vice-presidents were elected to the National Assembly on Friday, July 19. Clémence Guetté, Naïma Moutchou, Nadège Abomangoli and Xavier Breton were elected in the first round. Clémence Guetté and Nadège Abomangoli are both MPs for La France Insoumise. Clémence Guetté obtained 337 votes. At 33, she is the MP for the second constituency of Val-de-Marne. Nadège Abomangoli obtained 327 votes. At 49, she is the MP for the tenth constituency of Seine-Saint-Denis.

For the Horizons group, Naïma Moutchou was elected with 338 votes. She is a member of parliament for the fourth constituency of Val-d’Oise, and is 44 years old. Finally, the Republican Xavier Breton collected 325 votes. He is 62 years old, and a member of parliament for the first constituency of Ain. This first round did not go smoothly. With ten envelopes too many in the ballot boxes, it was initially cancelled. The second round seems to have been more serene. Roland Lescure, from the Ensemble pour la République group, won the fifth seat with 273 votes. The Republican Annie Genevard collected 257. The RN, for its part, did not obtain any seats.
