Singer Jean-Luc Lahaye, indicted for rape of minors and imprisoned for six months, was released on Tuesday May 24 and placed under judicial supervision, a judicial source told franceinfo, confirming information from the Parisian. The decision was taken as part of a sentence adjustment for the duration of the further investigation of this case, specifies the same source.
The 69-year-old variety singer was indicted on November 5, 2021 and remanded in custody for rape, rape of a minor over 15, sexual assault of minors over 15, corruption of a minor of more than 15 years and abuse of weakness of a minor. Two young women accuse the singer of rape and sexual assault in 2013 and 2014, when they were minors over 15 years old. The singer had already been given a one-year suspended prison sentence for corruption of minors, on one of the two girls, in 2015.
Jean-Luc Lahaye had been placed in pre-trial detention in the prison of Health where he has just spent six months. He had also been placed under the status of assisted witness for invasion of privacy by fixing images of a sexual nature and possession of child pornography images.
