The silk pillowcase? Your health asset while sleeping!

We spend 1/3 of our life sleeping!

Cotton is the most used material because it brings lightness and softness, but its benefits are limited.

A silk pillowcase will bring many benefits.

  • It helps to regenerate skin and hair
  • Prevents static electricity for hair and skin: this prevents fabric marks on the face and knots in the hair!
  • It reduces the appearance of fine lines and increases the production of collagen
  • Material 3 times less absorbent than cotton, it is ideal for sleeping with creams on the face
  • Hypoallergenic, it relieves people who are allergic to dust mites or are asthmatic. This clears the sinuses.
  • Antibacterial, fights inflammation and skin imperfections
  • Does not dehydrate skin and hair
  • Helps to keep your hair “styled” as soon as you wake up, excellent for curly, wavy, frizzy and frizzy hair!
  • Better sleeping comfort and fast falling asleep thanks to its thermoregulatory effect

The best silk is organic. Some brands like Venus & Gaia, ChillSilk, the general house… offer a range of pillowcases and bolsters to benefit from all its benefits.

Did you know ? A cotton pillowcase should normally be washed every 4 days!

On the maintenance side

  • The silk pillowcase should be washed once a month, inside out without closing the zipper. To be washed at 30°C and at a maximum of 400 revolutions per minute.
  • To dry in the open air, avoiding high heat!
  • Use a mild shampoo to replace your detergent if it is chemical.
  • Do not twist or wring the silk to avoid damaging it.
  • Do not wash with soap (even Marseille) as this will dry out the fibre, unless it is a soap very rich in glycerine!
