It’s a heritage show that will find its historical niche. The sea magazine “Thalassa” will be relaunched on Friday evenings on France 3, at the start of 2024, from the angle of adventure and the environment, France Télévisions announced on Thursday December 14. Entitled “Thalassa, extreme adventures”, this new 2024 version will be played by an all-terrain presenter, Diego Buñuel, already at the helm of “Animal Instinct” on France 2.
Unlike the original, created by Georges Pernoud in 1975, the new 110-minute program will not be weekly but broadcast “event” Friday at 9:10 p.m. Four episodes are planned for the year, according to France Télévisions. Losing momentum, the magazine went from weekly to monthly in 2016. It stopped between June 2019 and early 2020, then returned to the air in February 2020, on Sunday afternoons.
