The city of Rambervillers, in the Vosges, has been marked for 24 hours by the terrible murder of Rose, a 5-year-old girl, found murdered and naked, Tuesday, April 25, near her home. A 15-year-old young man, already indicted for rape of a minor, is the main suspect.
In Rambervillers (Vosges), Wednesday, April 26, a bouquet of flowers and a few roses were left by neighbors in front of the house where Rose, the five-year-old victim, lived. “It was my baby, my doll. (…) Today, who comes to take me in their arms, who comes to give me a kiss, who comes to tell me mom? I just want justice to be done”, said the mother of the child, in tears. On Tuesday afternoon, the little girl disappeared while playing outside her home. His naked and lifeless body was found less than 300 meters away, in a plastic bag inside an apartment.
The suspect already indicted for rape of a minor
A 15-year-old boy was arrested at the same place, he himself called the police. Placed in police custody, he is heard by the gendarmes as part of the investigation. The suspect had never been convicted, but had already been indicted for rape of a minor in February 2022. In the town, many neighbors were alarmed by his behavior, but he had not been the subject of a report. A little girl says she was approached and followed until she managed to get home. A murder investigation has been entrusted to the Nancy prosecutor’s office (Meurthe-et-Moselle).
