After its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film The shadow of crows hits theaters in English and French on June 2.
Shot in English and directed by Marie Clements, the film stars Grace Dove, Joshua Odjick and Phillip Lewitski, not to mention Rémy Girard and Karine Vanasse, who play clergymen more than 20 years after starring together in Seraph – A Man and His Sin.
The shadow of crows chronicles the journey of Cree matriarch Aline Spears over several decades. From her childhood spent in the Canadian residential school system to her fight which led her to the Vatican in particular.
