The second booster dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 has been open since Wednesday July 20 to people at risk under the age of 60, their relatives and pregnant women. Five million people are affected.

The phone has been ringing constantly since the reopening of the center of Cannet (Alpes-Maritimes). On the Côte d’Azur, the vaccination campaign for a fourth dose of vaccine or a booster is accelerating, Thursday July 21. A resident found an appointment. “Since I may be going on trips, if I’m asked for the full pass, at least I’ll be up to date”says the latter.

The public concerned has been expanded since Wednesday, July 20. In addition to the over 60s and immunocompromised people, there are pregnant women, individuals who live in regular contact with vulnerable people, and 18-59 year olds with comorbidities. A total of five million more people are eligible. For Professor Imad Kansau, specialist in infectious diseases at Antoine-Béclère hospital (Clamart), the health context remains worrying. “All fragile people (…) must be vaccinated, because they are not immune to serious forms”believes the latter.
