The crowd favorites quickly put this game out of reach for their opponents by shaking the ropes three times in the first period, then three more times in the second, before adding the final four in the third period.
William Dufour was particularly entertained during this duel, completing a hat trick. The New York Islanders prospect scored once in each period. He was also an accomplice to Raivis Kristians Ansons’ goal, the Sea Dogs’ first success of the match.
However, it was Josh Lawrence who was the most productive. In addition to scoring a shorthanded goal in the third period, he set up the table for four goals for his team, totaling five points. Peter Reynolds also looked good, with four assists.
At the other end of the ice, the goalkeeper of the local team Thomas Couture still had to stand out despite the imposing victory of his team. The masked man blocked 38 of the 40 pucks aimed at him. Only Senna Peeters was able to outwit him.
