Illegal parking is increasingly present when approaching airports. How to fight against the scourge? Our journalists investigated.
On the Internet, the ad looked like a good deal. It’s a parking lot near Orly airport, but on their return, some people discover their vehicle damaged. Some even find that their car was used during their vacation. The mishap was experienced by a couple from Franche-Comté. They had to carry out a repair worth 500 euros. “They took care of you (…) it’s a parking lot that ultimately costs us dearly”specifies one of them.
Multiple offenses
Several victims chose to file a complaint. The parking lot in question was closed by prefectural decree after an inspection which revealed multiple violations such as concealed work. The activity, which lasted more than three years, was particularly profitable for the company. Several other suspicious parking lots are in the sights of the authorities.
