The SCB surprises the ACA at François Coty (0-1)

A wide free kick taken by Kaiboue and taken from the head by the young Roncaglia (21) was enough for the happiness of the SCB, and the spite of the ACA. This 43rd minute was the only moment when Leroydoorman from Ajaccio, was clearly in difficulty.

With several absent including Vincent, Salles-Lamonges and Bocognano, Regis Brouard had lined up an experimental eleven at the start of the match. Not always reassuring in all areas of the game, but pulled up by a Santelli in the oven and at the mill, the blues cracked the Ajaccian wall before half-time, despite a stadium entirely committed to the white and red cause (the Bastia supporters were banned from traveling by the prefectural authorities, because of the liabilities and the political context).

The 4000 spectators therefore witnessed the first defeat of their team for 3 games, and especially a lack of imagination and madness in the last twenty meters which has something to question.

Guidi defense puts out Krasso wisp

The ACA (3rd in the standings before the match) he had all his cards in his hands at kick-off, apart from that of Moussiti-Okoa long-time injured striker. Olivier Pantaloni, the experienced ace technician who was celebrating his first ACA-SCB there as a coach in Ligue 2, even allowed himself to leave on the bench short and Fedeach returned during play in the second half.

The five pillars of the Bastia defense blocked any Ajaccio attempt during this one, wherever it came from, protecting the goals of Placid. Even the excesses of the duo Krasso Cimignani at the start of the match, although very polished, failed. And despite the injury Schür before the break, never the rearguard of the SCB (15th at kick-off, 27 goals conceded this season) did not seem feverish.

First professional goal for Roncaglia, Brouard dedicates the victory to the supporters

“It’s a collective that won, because a lot of players (in this match, editor’s note) haven’t been playing much lately. For the little anecdote, it’s the child of the club who scores! I’m happy with the result and happy for him. […] It’s a great satisfaction to come and win here. […] We always have a thought for the supporters in Bastia. We know that they could not come, but we know that they were all present in front of their screen. I often call on them, but they have to be at Furiani on Tuesday, again”. Régis Brouard, SCB Coach.

“I run, I throw myself, she hits me in the head, and I score…I understood that I had scored because I was being chased! (laughs). […] The ACA dominated us, they had the ball most of the game. We didn’t have to let go, we had to continue to stay well together, and that’s what we did”. SCB defender Anthony Roncaglia.

“Mr. Ben El Hadj is wrong twice” says O. Pantaloni

“We take a goal from a set piece when we have been very efficient on these since the start of the season. […] Playing against a low block with players very close to each other where there is no space is complicated, but we should have done much better. The only dangerous situations are perhaps on the two penalties, because there are penalties, I saw the images again, and Mr. Ben El Hadj is wrong twice. […] The defeat of Bastia puts a brake on our progress, on the other hand, we always keep the ambition (to finish champion of the second in Ligue 2 editor’s note). We will have to pick up the points lost in Quevilly-Rouen”. Olivier Pantaloni, ACA coach.

“We lacked a lot more inspiration, more madness to be able to be more dangerous. […] We are focused on what we have to do, now yes, there is a derby concept. Obviously we want to transcend ourselves, to do more, but in football, you have to keep a cool head. We wanted to rush too much to come back to this game.[…] We are not proud of these two results this season against Bastia (0-2 defeat in the first leg), but we must not forget the ten games to come”. Mathieu Coutadeur, ACA midfielder.
