Joint work between the authors and Joseph Weismann

The authors Arnaud Delalande and Laurent Bidot met Joseph Weismann during a conference in a high school in Versailles. They immediately wanted to retrace his testimony in comics. The three men regularly worked together on images, texts and history. On the images, the manceau survivor of the camps wanted the barbed wire to appear very large and very linked. “It was not cow barbed wire,” underlines Joseph Weismann. it took us more than 6h00 to escape.

As for the story of his deportation, he also wanted there to be a part that also tells of life after the camps.

At over 90 years old, Joseph Weismann still continues to give conferences all over France and Europe.

A reading with the two authors and Joseph Weismann is scheduled for Wednesday January 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Abbey of Epau.
