The Saint-Nazaire bridge (Loire-Atlantique) is once again open to traffic “one lane each way” after having suffered significant damage on Wednesday committed by opponents of the pension reform, according to a press release from the Loire-Atlantique department published on Thursday March 23.

“Thanks to the mobilization of the department’s teams, the traffic conditions essential to the safety of users were ensured last night for the bridge to open at 1:32 a.m.”says the department.

The demonstrators had occupied the bridge Wednesday morning until 2:30 p.m. Work will be necessary to restore the degraded equipment. The department urges motorists to be careful.
