The Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère Dinosaur Park is not… Jurassic Park

At the Conquil Dinosaur Park, in Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, Baptiste Braun, the manager, invites you to enter his “Jurassic Park”. On site, around forty dinosaurs invariably make visitors think that they are at the heart of Steven Spielberg’s film…

And there, the disappointment… How is it that the famous velociraptors are not two meters high like in the film? Because Spielberg (I think you know) is not a paleontologist but a filmmaker! A velociraptor measured about two meters, but from head to tail, for a (ridiculous) height of 75 centimeters. However, due to the gigantism of certain species, it is not always possible to represent them at their real size; of the forty dinosaurs in the Parc du Conquil, about 80% respect the scale.
