The Sacré-Coeur basilica in Paris will be extinguished on Saturday October 15 from 8 p.m. and until the next day at 6 a.m., reports France Bleu Paris. The goal is to raise awareness of light pollution. In addition to Sacré-Coeur, the Bourbon Palace will also be plunged into darkness from 8 p.m. Saturday and until 6 a.m. the next day.

This initiative takes place within the framework of the 14th edition of the cultural event “Jour de la Nuit”, on the initiative of the association Agir pour l’environnement.
