Russian forces focus on the Donbass region, Tuesday May 24. The bombardments are incessant and are concentrated on the city of Severodonetsk, pounded relentlessly.

Russia is stepping up its offensive in the Donbass on Tuesday, May 24. The Kremlin army relentlessly pounded the Ukrainian positions, leaving no moment of respite to its adversaries, who seemed powerless. If the Russians already occupy the vast majority of Donbass, they are now concentrating all their efforts to seize the area around Severodonetsk (Ukraine). The city is bombarded day and night.

Unrecognizable, she seems already lost. The Ukrainian soldiers had to retreat. In their retreat, they mined the bridges, a last ditch attempt to halt the enemy advance. The airstrikes continue. 10 km west of Severodonetsk, an oil refinery was heavily hit. In neighboring towns, many buildings were destroyed and residents were killed. “They may be able to take our territory, but (…) we will never sing the Russian anthem. It is impossible”, says a Ukrainian man. According to the Ukrainian authorities, 12,500 Russian soldiers are involved in the attack in the heart of Donbass.
