Dubbed the “Marche-Ton-Don”, the initiative was organized by Claudia Roy, spouse of Rouge et Or defensive coordinator Marc Fournier.
Claudia Roy saw her life turned upside down in the space of a few months due to heart problems.
“I involved my family by marriage, because they are men of heart, they are men who are involved and generous,” explained Ms. Roy to TVA Nouvelles.
She says that the athletes immediately agreed to participate in this fundraiser, which also raised nearly $1,400.
“We want to make the population aware of the importance of giving to this institute that takes care of us,” proclaims Claudia Roy’s spouse, Marc Fournier.
