The Rocket wins despite a slow start to the match

After a difficult start to the game, the Laval Rocket activated the offensive machine to easily win by a score of 6 to 3 at the expense of the Providence Bruins on Friday night at Place Bell.

The troop of Jean-François Houle thus signs, in an amphitheater completely devoid of spectators, a second consecutive gain, she who had won Sunday against the Hershey Bears.

The numerical advantage has greatly contributed to the offensive efforts of the Laval team. With two more men in the second, Louie Belpedio first equalized the score with an accurate shot from the top corner and moments later Lukas Vejdemo scored his sixth goal of the campaign.

Alex Belzile has also materialized in numerical superiority. Gabriel Bourque was the first to blacken the scoresheet in the first period while Cameron Hillis and Kevin Roy also sparked the light.

The Bruins had yet had a start to the game on the hats of wheel. They had stolen from the Rocket subsidiary in the ECHL, the Trois-Rivières Lions, striker Alexis D’Aoust by offering him a professional try on Thursday. The Quebecer quickly made his presence felt by registering for the score only 2:56 after the start of the game. He took advantage of the space his roofer gave him to shoot a pitch that surprised Michael McNiven between the pads. The latter finally made 18 saves.

Cameron Hughes added a goal 31 seconds later, but those were the visitors’ only moments of celebration. Jack Ahcan found the back of the net in the third.

Elizabeth Mantha, sister of Washington Capitals player Anthony Mantha, was in uniform for the officials squad in this duel. She is also the one who awarded a sticking penalty to Nick Wolff, who led to two quick goals for the Rocket in the second period.
