The new version of the immigration bill, resulting from the joint committee (CMP), will be able to count on the support of the National Rally. Far-right MPs will vote for the text “as it appears from the CMP”announced, Tuesday, December 19, the president of the RN group, Marine Le Pen, welcoming “a law toughening immigration conditions”. The National Assembly and the Senate must vote on Tuesday evening.
The former presidential candidate welcomed a “ideological victory” after the hardening of the text, which came closer to the measures defended by his party. “We can rejoice in an ideological advance (…), since national priority is now included in this law, that is to say the advantage given to the French in relation to foreigners present on our territory in access to a certain number of social benefits, which are today subject to conditions for foreigners that are not severe enough for our taste”welcomed the MP.
